Maureen is 65 years old and lives alone in a 2 bedroom terraced house. Her husband, a war veteran, passed away 4 years ago. She keeps a photo of him in a polished silver frame next to the clock in the sitting room.Her health is stable for her age. She carries out the ‘eat breakfast’ routine, finding her cutlery perfectly aligned, in the exact same spot they have been for the last 5 years.
She leaves her sanctuary and enters the world; a mess, constantly changing, not as it was in the ‘good old days’. On her way to the supermarket, she walks through the park, for she knows she won’t be able to on the way back with her grocery.
